Thanks to Kamila for sending me this..

In this article by Charitybuzz it confirms Charlotte has a role in the new movie Grand Street,it gives the plot details and you can even bid for a walk on role in the movie!

Always wanted to be part of the next indie sleeper…now it’s possible! With a cult following in the UK, Charlotte Riley and Tom Byam Shaw are starring in the upcoming feature film Grand Street written and directed by Lex Sidon.

Almost a year after rejecting Amory “Amo” Percy’s deeply personal screenplay, assistant film executive Camilla Reilly finds herself without a job, a boyfriend, or a place to live. By chance, she meets up again with Amo at a downtown party and spends a life-changing 24 hours in his company. From underworld haunts to the upscale reaches of uptown Manhattan, theirs is an odyssey through a restless city in retrograde — an ageless, timeless, polymorphous landfill of drugs, poseurs, and perceptions. Amo’s past and Camilla’s destiny intersect in this fateful love story that alters both of their paths forever. The proceeds for this item benefit Christie’s Green Auction: A Bid to Save the Earth

New Movie Project for Charlotte!

Posted by Samantha with 1 Comment

This is incredibly exciting! I saw something about this on twitter about a week ago but found no more info until our lovely visitor Robert just sent me this :) There unfortunately isnt any info about the film really, but it’s better than nothing :)

Well, we’re up in North Yorkshire shooting in some rather raw and eerie places, making the horror feature film ENTITY with Steve Stone at the helm. We’ve got Dervla Kirwan in the starring role, and Charlotte Riley (Cathy from ITV’s Wuthering Heights), Branko Tomovic, Rupert Hill, Oliver Jackson and David Worden in the cast running around these places with us, and we’re having a blast!

Its cold, spooky, dark, tiring and pretty unhospitable but its all about the horror, baby. The horror!

Charlotte and Tom NOT Involved In C-Word Project

Posted by Samantha with No Comments

Although it would be lovely, the rumors of Tom and Charlotte’s involvement in an BBC adaptation of the novel appear to be false.

Here’s why:

In September of 2010, the Observer UK printed this quote in an article about a book called  ”The C-Word: Just Your Average 28-year old..Friends, Family, Facebook, Cancer.”

“`An amazing book and blog about the author’s journey through breast cancer. My fiancée (actress Charlotte Riley) and I are turning it into a BBC film. I’m looking forward to working on such a wonderful story’ — Tom Hardy”

The following week a retraction was issued in the “For The Record” section of the magazine:

“neither Tom Hardy or Charlotte Reilly are confirmed for or are involved in the BBC production of The C-Word.”

The quote still appears on the book’s Amazon.com product description page.

Short List For Actresses Up For Role In Dark Knight Rises

Posted by Samantha with No Comments

Oh my god I cant tell how much excited this makes me!! This would be amazing if Charlotte got a role!!

Here is a short list of actresses up for consideration by Christopher Nolan for major female roles in The Dark Knight Rises.

THR is reporting that Keira KnightleyAnne Hathaway and Jessica Biel are set to test for roles in the next two weeks. Relative newcomers Kate Mara and Charlotte Riley are also testing for a role. Gemma Arterton was also scheduled to test, but she has now been cast as the lead in Paramount’s Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters and might now have scheduling issues.

There are two big female roles left to fill in the film, a villain and a love interest. Insiders say that one of the parts is for the role of Talia, the daughter of villain Ra’s Al Ghul (portrayed by Liam Neeson)in Batman Begins. Talia is both Batman’s lover and antagonist in the comic books, she ultimately becomes the mother to Bruce Wayne’s son.

Knightley, Hathaway and Biel have experience in lead roles whereas Mara and Riley are up and coming stars. Mara starred in 127 Hours and Iron Man 2 in 2010. Her sister Rooney Mara is currently shooting David Fincher‘s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo in the title role. Riley has only done TV work thus far and is engaged to Tom Hardy who has already booked an unspecified role in Dark Knight Rises.

Earlier we reported a rumor that Naomi Watts and Eva Green were up for roles and and this article confims that these are still just rumors. There has been some interest in Watts, but she is busy filming the drama The Impossible with Ewan McGregor in Thailand and can’t attend meetings.  Green is set to star in the business drama Arbitrage with Al Pacino, which will film in April.

Which actresses would you like to see star alongside Christian Bale?
